Porter Street Workshop | Park Studios Atlanta
Mecca thought that it would be a great idea to gather inspiration from a photo of a cake full of color and texture for Porter Street Workshop. We had no idea that Andrea of Sweet Details designed it and would later become a part of a successful project. Once Mecca discovered that Charron of Eye 4 Events already had a vision board that was spot on to the concept, the rest was history! The objective was to bring something live and vibrant to the market that you simply do not see. We were able to use the bold color palette from the cake: pink, fuchsia, different hues of purple and orange adding metals: gold, hints of silver and rose gold to really bring this design together. Since there was texture throughout the cake on the photo, the focus was to show it through the design.
This art deco inspired look was nothing short of amazing! The pentagon arch with floral runner was definitely a showstopper thanks to Ashlee of Snazzy Events. There was an array of color and texture added to the arrangement. Stationary really added a burst of color on the crisp white plates an addition to the magenta napkins. The linen was made of soft leather that featured miniature circles playing off the sprinkles on the cake.
The details played a huge roll in this project to say the least. The origami wall tied in with the rock candy that was placed on the stationary adding a pop of color to the blank white canvas of Park Studios Atlanta. The cake was an experience in itself, not to mention delicious by the way! Full of bright colors: green, shades of blue, pink, purple, with hints of geometric shapes, and if you look closely, there are small clear pieces of rock candy that complimented the cake as well. The dress and brooch were provided by Grace Bridal Atelier. Mecca suggested the brooch added an extra touch of elegance to the gown by simply tying every detail together.
Overall, the attendees were in awe with the overall presentation and enlightened by their experience of Porter Street Workshop.
