How David Met Kat…
When asked the question, “How did you meet Kat?” I reply with two answers because I felt like we’ve met twice. I first saw Kat at her Halloween party, but it was a simple hi & bye. Who would have ever thought that 4 years later we would re-meet, this time at my Halloween party and 100 days later we began to vibe…
She completes me because we complete each other- David

When David Knew He Met His Match…
When first asked how did I know Kat was “THE ONE”, I refused to answer because I felt those feelings were very personal. However as time passed I searched for a simplistic answer and I came up with this: Kat is the only woman I’ve dated that not only tolerates me in times of controversy, but she is strong in areas of life that I am weak and vice versa. I won’t be cliche and say she completes me because we complete each other.
Kat’s Story:
My story is a little bit longer than David’s. Plus his didn’t reeeallly go into detail about the proposal he only answered the question of how he knew I was the one… I knew David was “THE ONE” because he is still here, LOL! No but seriously, he understands my weird, we have so much in common, our goals align, and all that other mushy stuff that comes along with being Mr. Right. David and I, at the time of the proposal it had been 1 year and 363 days. I only know that because when he proposed we were on our 2 year anniversary vacation.
Prior to our trip there was some unnerving good energy between us- Katoria…

This year we decided to go to Disney World. I was TOO STOKED (I want whoever reading this to know I was crunk as hell) I have never been to Disney World and I am a relatively big fan! Prior to our trip there was some unnerving GOOD energy between us because in the beginning of our relationship we had the “expectations talk”. Now, not saying that exactly at 12:01 am April 2, 2017 if I wasn’t engaged we was going to split our ways, but I definitely expressed to him that within a two year time frame that we should be exploring long term options with each other. Granted there are a lot of holidays over the course of the year and we had been living together for a year and a half already, so in my head it was only a matter of time… My Birthday came and went, no ring. Thanksgiving… Nope. Christmas… ALMOST! But between him and I… It just wasn’t the right time, so I got a promise ring and we made a promise to each other to do better by one another because we came too far to let it go. For four months we were on a roll! So here comes the anniversary trip and I honestly put in the back of my head because it was DISNEY WORLD!!!
The Process…
We finally get to Orlando and I’m crunk about Disney World! David is all aggy because
- our flight was delayed by 3 hours. Eww
- when we got to Orlando we realize that the airport is another 1 hour away from the park.
We finally arrived Magic Kingdom and I kid you not… I am literally doing cartwheels, I’m caught in the moment and the first thing I do is go to the souvenir shop like the tourist that I am. If you been to Disney World Magic Kingdom, you know as soon as you walk in, is Cinderella’s Castle. I’m sh*ting ricks because I’m like HooooMAH Gawd lets GOOOOO take usies and selfies!

I’m sure David was questioning his actions like, “what am I about to do?” We get in front of the castle and I’m looking for ANYBODY to take my picture! I was in selfie mode! Then David walks up and says, “let’s take one together,” but he hands his phone to a random stranger and then tells the other random stranger to video record on my phone.
He walks back up and says, “Hold on, bae can you take my necklace off?”
He then turns around and gets on one knee and ask if I would be his wife… I lost it!
