| Are All Inclusive Venues The Best Way to Get More Value For My Money? All inclusive venues definitely come with a lot of perks especially if catering and alcohol are being provided. However, I would say without hiring an event professional, things can be misguided or misaligned with the venue staff if communication is not present and the right questions aren’t being asked. There are positives and some negatives as limitations and restrictions do apply depending on where the event is being hosted at. It is your event professionals responsibly to find out what those details may entail. Here are a few details to consider: food, décor, and stacked scheduling. Most of the time your venue tasting may not replicate your experience on the day of your actual event as the food may be more bland or not seasoned to perfection which can be very disappointing especially for the investment being made to host the event at their establishment. When it comes to décor, many places also include your basic event set up: tables, chairs, linen, and napkins. Some places may also include: a dance floor, stage, state of the art sound system etc. which saves you money from having to rent additional equipment. However, I will say it can be costly if nothing goes with your color palate and décor aesthetic simply because you may feel like the chairs are dated. For an example many venues carry chiavari chairs in gold, brown, or silver as an option not providing the contemporary sleek gold framed chairs which can be more costly. With linen you may not like the options they have available as sometimes they may have the standard cotton polyester blend available or the classic Kasmir Camden in ivory or gold. For an example: you might want something totally different that suits your signature style like sequin, velvet, or a black leather dot for example. With stacked scheduling, if you decide to host your event at a venue with multiple events occurring on the premises in separate ballrooms during the same frame a stacked schedule (delay in start time) would occur to avoid guests from attending the wrong event.
